Everyone’s favorite soup competition is back, but this is a and we are continuing the SUMMER theme! Think tomato-basil, cold cucumber or vichyssoise. Or make a garden dump soup if you have an exploding summer garden!

Soup’s On, hosted by Slow Food North Louisiana, is a friendly soup cook-off open to amateurs and professionals alike. Bring your best soup game and you could win great prizes for Best Soup as judged by our trio of food professionals and/or People’s Choice, chosen by attendees.

Any cook entering the competition may attend the event at no charge. Deadline to enter a soup is Thursday, August 13. Register as a competitor by completing this form. You can enter more than one soup if you are feeling ambitious.

But if you just want to come slurp and sample, that is fine too!

• Slow Food Members: $20 in advance, $30 at the door (discount code sent to email on file)

• General Admission: $25 in advance, $30 at the door
